In my final year, I explored how architecture can empower vulnerable communities; centering dignity, healing and resilience. My projects aim to celebrate independence through atmospheric, community-rooted spaces that foster connection and respond to safety, care, and justice.
Architecture as Agency: Weaving Dignity, Safety and Innovation for Women in Cologne
Threads of Resilience is a spatial and political response to gender-based violence in Germany. Set in Cologne, it weaves support, creativity and empowerment into the urban fabric. Inspired by the innovative women-led weaving workshop of the Bauhaus, the design fosters safe and inclusive spaces. It challenges patriarchal dominance through intimate architecture that celebrates female agency, resilience and visibility.
