A Cozinha places emphasis on cultural and contextual sensitivity within architectural design. The surrounding landscape of the site in addition to the façade design is a testament to contextual integration, with emphasis on the connection to the surrounding environment.
The surrounding environment of the site is also a core component of the concept of the design, with communal farming and planters being integrated into the environment. The flow of the paths is also designed to be a fluid flow from the site surroundings to the building itself and the communal elements within the landscape.
